South Suburban YMCA
Originally founded in 1969 and moved to its current location on East Army Post Road in 1997, the South Suburban YMCA serves south Des Moines, Norwalk, Carlisle and Indianola. Traditional programs include youth sports, child care, day camp, teen programs, many preschool activities, Tae Kwon Do, and a variety of fitness classes. The facilities include a four-lane family-fun swimming pool swimming pool, three family changing rooms, a fitness center with a climbing wall, aerobics studio, gymnasium, Character Zone, cardio cycling studio and multi-purpose room. Child Watch is available for small children while their parents participate in programs.
