Indianola, IA 50125
The Indianola Y is committed to strengthening our community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Our facility opened August 26, 2013 and we are proud to now call Indianola home. But the Y is not about buildings, we are about building people and providing opportunities for people to make a positive change in their lives. Come see how we are making our people and community stronger.
We will host our first Y swim meet of the season this Saturday, the Indianola Distance Challenge. Being our first Y swim meet of this season, please remember that the Y meets operate differently than the high school and college meets. In addition to the pool closing, the community room and gymnasium will also be closed. Expect lots of extra traffic in and around the facility as parents come to cheer on their swimmers. The competitive pool will close at 8:30am for meet preparations and warm-ups. The meet starts at 10am. Come cheer on the Tide!
The current Riverfront Y will close its doors for the final time on December 19 and the new Wellmark Y will open its doors for business on January 1. Please visit the Wellmark Y website for more information on that branch. Did you know that by joining any branch of the YMCA of Greater Des Moines, you will have access to the new Wellmark Y? That means you can use the Indianola Y when you are close to home and Wellmark Y when you are downtown working! It is a great benefit for commuting workers that we want you to be aware of and take advantage of.
Sunday, November 16 we are adding Child Watch hours, 12:30-3:30pm. This is an additional opportunity for our families to take advantage of their membership and our new group exercise classes while Child Watch is available.
Friday, November 14 will be our final day for offering Friday evening Child Watch.

We have added some much needed lap swim time to our evening pool schedule! Come get your laps in!
