YPartners is an annual support campaign that enables the YMCA to offer program and membership scholarships to individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford to participate. Through YPartners, individuals and businesses in the community partner with the YMCA to make sure anyone can come to the YMCA and participate in programs.
The YMCA of Greater Des Moines Association 2012 YPartners campaign is $1,322,000. Reaching this goal means we will be able to assist 18,000 individuals with a scholarship to the Y. Eleven campaigns are underway at Y branches in the metro area to engage volunteers/storytellers in their community campaign to achieve the overall Association goal of $1.3 million goal.
Give a Gift. You may give a gift to help an individual enroll in a swim lesson, be a part of one of our many Before and Afterschool Care programs, help an underprivileged family enroll in YMCA membership, support a team of 10 kids to play on a youth sports team. See What Your Gift Can Do.
Be a Volunteer Storyteller. The YPartners Campaign relies on volunteers to tell the story of the Y. These stories connect potential donors to the work of the Y and how the community is supported in youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
