Tips For New Members
If you are new to the Y, getting started can be a little overwhelming. Here are some tips that may be helpful:
- Don't be shy about asking for help. Think of our staff as your personal concierge.
- Meet with a wellness coach. Once they understand your goals, they'll help you get started on the right foot.
- Get involved in a community. By participating in a class or a program you'll make some new friends and have a more meaningful experience.
- Participate with a friend or a buddy.
- Diversify your experiences. Variety is more fun.
- Make the Y part of your daily routine.
- Involve your entire family.
- Try the pool. There are activities for all ages.
- If you have a small child, go to ChildWatch with them. ChildWatch is the Y to them.
- Get involved with serving others. There will be opportunities at your local branch.
