The Dan Dowson Memorial Court at the Indianola YMCA has six basketball goals.
A 25-yard, eight-lane pool is the home to the Indianola Swim Club, Indianola High School, and the Simpson College competitive swim programs. The pool is also home for developmental swim lessons, water exercise, swim stroke clinic, lap swimming and recreational family swim time.
There are three diving boards at the deep end of the pool with seating for competitive swim meets.
Adjacent to the lap pool is a family pool with several water features. This pool will be used for developmental swim lessons, water exercise, and recreational family swim time.
Modern, men’s, women’s and family locker rooms are adjacent to the pool.
The Indianola YMCA has one racquetball court named in honor of Bob Kraemer. Locker space is available in this area.
This is a supervised play area for youth age 6 weeks to 8 years while their parents and/or guardians utilize the Indianola YMCA for workouts.
20 new state-of-the art Keiser cycling bikes are dedicated to YMCA cycling classes. Fully certified cycling instructors teach classes scheduled to meet the needs of working adults. This is an excellent cardiovascular workout that helps participants become stronger outdoor cyclists.
The Indianola YMCA has a large variety of equipment in a space that can accommodate those new to strength training as well as the seasoned veterans. Locker space is available in this area.
This workout space includes trainers, treadmills, elliptical machines and other cardio equipment by Precor. Locker space is available in this area.
Zumba, Pilates, HEAT, Body Pump and other group exercise classes are held in these spaces. Studio A (pictured) is located on the first floor.
Studio B (pictured) is located on the second floor. Coat racks and storage bins are located in each studio.
