YMCA of Greater Des Moines

At the YMCA, when we say, "for all," we really mean it. Due to the generosity of many local donors, the YMCA strives to never turn anyone away due to an inability to pay. Through Partner With Youth, individuals and businesses in the community partner with the YMCA to make sure every child can be a part of the YMCA.

Dollars raised are an investment in the future of thousands of lives in our area by providing scholarships to those in need. Last fiscal year the YMCA of Greater Des Moines processed 34,489 scholarship transactions valued at $1,625,914 in financial assistance to deserving youth, individuals and families to ensure participation in all YMCA programs. In every sense, Partner With Youth is an investment for the future of central Iowa communities.

The 2010 goal for Partner With Youth Campaign is $1,180,000. Every penny of your contribution will help immerse a child in the YMCA's world of positive values and guidance.

Since 1868, the YMCA of Greater Des Moines has added enduring value to generations of our community’s kids and families. As our communities have become more diverse and the population has shifted throughout the area, the need for services that promote healthy spirit, mind and body has grown as well. The YMCA is ready to meet those needs with proven programs and services. We have identified the need for projects that include updating current and building new facilities. With your help, the Greater Des Moines community can benefit from this campaign for generations.
