All who served our country in uniform are invited to use YMCA facilities free of charge on Veterans Day, November 11
(DES MOINES, IA) – The YMCA of Greater Des Moines is celebrating Veterans Day by inviting all members of the military, past and present, to work out free of charge that day.
On Saturday, November 11, all veterans, active duty military and Guard and Reserve members will receive free admission at any of the eight full-facility Y branches in the Des Moines area. By simply identifying themselves at the Welcome Center, veterans and military service personnel will receive free passes that allow them and their family members to use the facilities and equipment and attend group exercise classes all day long.
“This is our way of thanking veterans and their families for the sacrifices they have made to safeguard our freedoms,” said Dave Schwartz, CEO of the YMCA of Greater Des Moines.
