(DES MOINES, IA) – Several branches of the YMCA of Greater Des Moines are sponsoring holiday-themed events with an emphasis on fun, not fright.

Ankeny Family YMCA
The Y in Ankeny is teaming with Lutheran Church of Hope for a Family Fall Festival on Sunday, October 28 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Inflatables, crafts, games and a trunk-or-treat in the parking lot at the Y.
How about a Halloween-themed yoga class for the entire family? The South Suburban Y invites the community to take part in a fun, free class for parents and children ages 4 and older on Friday, October 26 from 6:30-7:15 p.m. Wear your costumes!
Walnut Creek Family YMCA
The Walnut Creek Y is hosting a Fall Family Festival on Saturday, October 27 from 6-8 p.m. Dodgeball, pumpkin carving, a caramel apple station, a costume contest and more! The event is free and open to the community; donations are being accepted for the Y’s Annual Campaign.
Waukee Family YMCA
The Waukee Y and Blank Children’s Hospital invite the community to enjoy a Healthy Halloween on Saturday, October 27 from 6-8 p.m. at the Y. Trick-or-treating, a Monster Mash dance party and creating Cackle Crunch (trail mix) will be part of the free family fun.
