Katie Ledecky, Caeleb Dressel, Regan Smith, Simone Manuel, Ryan Murphy and Ryan Lochte are just a few of the big names expected March 4-7 at the Wellmark YMCA.
Des Moines, IA (Feb. 27, 2020) – The biggest names in swimming will be taking to the water in Des Moines next week in one of the final run-ups to the U.S. Olympic Trials in June.
The TYR Pro Swim Series, sanctioned by USA Swimming, runs March 4-7 at the MidAmerican Energy Company Aquatic Center at the Wellmark YMCA. More than 300 swimmers from around the globe – including world champions, world record holders, Olympic medalists and up-and-coming stars – are expected to compete in 28 events held over three-and-a-half days. Des Moines is the third of five stops in the 2020 series, which also includes events in Greensboro, NC, Knoxville, TN, Mission Viejo, CA and Indianapolis, IN.
“The attention of the swimming world will be focused on Des Moines next week,” said Frankie Hanson, director of aquatic operations for the YMCA of Greater Des Moines. “Fans here will have the rare opportunity to see the best swimmers in the world in a venue that allows them to be close to all the action. The excitement level is high, and we’re expecting another sellout this year.”

The TYR Pro Swim Series event in Des Moines will be nationally televised on NBC Sports Network and the Olympic Channel and live streamed at usaswimming.org.
Tickets for the event are available online at www.usaswimming.org/tickets. Ticket prices range from $10 for a single session of the preliminaries to $85 for a premium pass to all preliminaries and finals sessions.
