This community event celebrates Dr. King’s legacy and promotes his message for peace and justice. This year's message will be centered around unity and connecting cultures across our community. Proceeds benefit the John R. Grubb Community YMCA’sAnnual Campaign, giving local families access to the Y through financial assistance and supports enrichment programs like Starfish Academy, a summer literacy camp.

Brian Brown, Associate Athletic Director at Missouri University, (former Drake Relays Director)
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Brian Brown
Dr. Brian Brown, Athletic Director for the University of Missouri, formerly of Drake University where he spent 16 years serving as the Director of the world famous Drake Relays, and as an assistant track and field coach since 2000. In 2010 Brown also added the title of Associate Athletic Director at Drake and implemented leadership training and professional development for staff and student athletes.
