Group exercise is one of many ways the Y supports members in achieving their health and wellness goals. The YMCA Group Exercise Programs improve health, encourage social interaction and with motivating music, are one of the most enjoyable ways to move and feel great. Highly trained staff members lead the programs and often tailor them to the specific needs of the community. All classes are included with your Y membership.

Build strength, improve cardiovascular endurance and burn calories like crazy in this athletic workout. Our fitness instructors will challenge you with multi-level and intense intervals on a specialized stationary bike. Classes are held in the cycling studio where powerful music creates an energized atmosphere. Positions include: seated where the hands are resting on the center of the handle bars, standing with hands are light on the handle bars and standing with the body extended over the handles.

No experience required, come 5-10 minutes early to be fitted for the bike, bring a water bottle and comfortable clothing. Pedals are flat (toe clips) and SPD clips.

At the YMCA, we're committed to your success and one way we show that commitment is through wellness coaching — a service that is free with your membership and can be taken advantage of at any time.
Wellness coaching is a great option for any level of exerciser. Our coaches can help those who are new to exercise develop a plan that works in your busy life. They can help those who are working toward different goals start moving in another direction. If you are struggling with motivation, our coaches are skilled at helping members to prioritize and determine next steps. They can even help you work through your healthy eating challenges and habits.

ActivTrax Wellness Program
At the Wellmark YMCA we want you to be successful on your wellness journey. To aid in this, we offer all of our members a free ActivTrax appointment. ActivTrax is for our members who want support to reach healthy living goals. Whether you want to jump start your healthy living journey or you need an extra boost to your current routine, this is for you!
You will meet one-on-one with a trained Wellness Coach to assist you getting set up for ActivTrax. At your first meeting your coach’s priority is to listen to your story and get your baseline data for the program. You’ll have an opportunity to get measurements taken (if you desire), perform a strength test, and have your program set up and tailored for your first workout. Best of all, this program is free for Y members and you will be connected with a coach to help get you started and establish your routine.
Within ActivTrax, there are many options. You can use it as a strength training program, a cardio tracker, or as a nutrition log.
