This course will strengthen your lifeguard skills and train you to teach lifeguard certification courses. Courses include Lifeguarding, Shallow Water Lifeguarding, Aquatic Attraction Lifeguarding, Waterpark Skills, Waterfront Skills, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Bloodborne Pathogen Training. Participants will earn an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification valid for 2 years upon successful completion of the course. This is a blended learning course. You must present a printed or electronic certificate of completion from the online portion of the class to be admitted on the first day. A link for the online course will be emailed prior to the start of class.

• Possess an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
• Be at least 17 years old
• Complete a Lifeguard Instructor online course
Refunds will not be given if you have not completed your online coursework by the beginning of the first classroom day. Refunds will not be given in the event you are unable to complete the prerequisites, you do not successfully pass the course, or you fail to unregister prior to the first day of the course.
Please bring a swim suit, towel, lunch, snacks, meals and own drink each day. Short meal breaks will be offered.
Financial assistance does not apply to lifeguarding courses.
