Achieve your fitness goals.
secaTRU scans provide comprehensive body composition analysis that helps you enhance your fitness goals and outcomes. Regular, or even occasional, measurements can be used to accurately track your progress.
Your free initial scan will outline four data points: weight, BMI, fat mass percentage, and skeletal muscle mass. From there, we offer several body composition packages in order to further enhance your fitness. Packages include a more detailed analysis of the body composition scan with seven data points. By looking at more data and taking the time to sit down with a Wellness Coach or Personal Trainer, members will have a better understanding of their fitness level, set fitness/health goals, and work together with staff to make a plan to reach the goals they set.
Who is eligible?
This tool is available to YMCA members 16 and older (16 and 17-year-old members must have a parent sign a waiver). All members will receive a free initial scan.
How do I prepare for my scan?
After setting up an appointment with the Wellness Desk, there are a few important steps to take in order to prepare for your scan:
- The time of measurement should be before a meal or a few hours afterward.
- Do not drink large quantities of liquid before the measurement. Alcohol should be avoided 12 hours before the measurement.
- Empty your bladder before the measurement.
- Measure yourself before exercising, when you are rested.
