Since 1980, the Walnut Creek Family YMCA has served the physical, educational, and social needs of westside residents. With an investment of federal funding and the commitment of our community, the Y is embarking on a revitalization project that will create a more functional and welcoming facility for many years to come.

What We Will Accomplish
Lots of exciting improvements are on the way! Scroll through to see what's coming to your Y.
Expansion and renovation of the current Kids Zone space and construction of classroom space for youth STEAM activities.
Repairs to the Youth Gym to make it a more functional space.
Offices will be relocated to allow for the construction of a large multipurpose room that can be configured in a variety of ways for meetings, classes and community events.
Renovation of the main lobby area to create a more inviting entrance and program space for all ages.
Replacement of obsolete HVAC systems and a portion of the roof, plus improvements to the parking areas and the pedestrian bridge to enhance safety and accessibility.
Updates to the flooring and plumbing in locker rooms to improve the overall member experience.
